Erik MacPherson
Golf Course Superintendent
Erik has been a dedicated member of the Abercrombie Country Club team for 18 years, serving the past 10 years in his current role as Superintendent. The 2026 season marks his 28th year in the turfgrass industry, with the majority of his career proudly spent at Abercrombie. Erik is a graduate of the Bachelor of Technology program at Dalhousie Agricultural College (2001) and the Golf Course Turfgrass Management program at The Pennsylvania State University (2003).
His professional experience includes positions at two highly regarded facilities in Massachusetts: The Country Club in Brookline and Old Sandwich Golf Club. He returned home to Abercrombie in the spring of 2007, bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge and a commitment to excellence. In 2024, Erik was honored with the Atlantic Golf Superintendents Association Superintendent of the Year Award, a recognition that reflects both his leadership and the continuous improvements being made at Abercrombie Country Club.
